I just found out my sister, Phaedra, and her band, The Gruff, won The Album of the Year Award at the Island Music Awards, for Vancouver Island. Congratulations!

    I have to add that I purchased a copy of The Gruff at their CD release party back in November and it’s wonderful.

    You’ll find me waiting in line at Central Bar and Grill (708 View St) on Wednesday July 14, 2004 cheering them on.

    If you go, you’ll have a blast. If you don’t, then you will die incomplete because you’ll never be able to say "I knew them before they were famous".

    Phaedra is the only one I know that can write a song about Jason and have it so that you’re laughing with Jason instead of at him.
